This last weekend I did some major cleaning of the dust on the boat that was left behind from all of the grinding. I also gave the area that was ground a good cleaning with acetone. Which by the way will eat right through a rubber glove.

Here is a bulk of the area that has been ground and where the stringers will be fiberglassed.

I am putting some miscellaneous pictures of the boat on here. Here is the bow section.

The prop that came with the boat. I believe that it is a 13-3/4 x 15. Which to me means 13-3/4 diameter and a 15 pitch.

The Johnson Hood for a 1975 85hp motor.
I have supplies for fiberglassing that is supposed to be here by the end of the week. Which doesn't really matter much right now since it is not warm enough to fiberglass. But I figured with fuel prices rising I would go ahead and get them before the shipping prices go up.
This is a good time stop and create a list of things that I want to accomplish with this rebuilding.
1. Form out of the foam panels the templates for the bulkheads and stringers. I will need to cut out of foam the small spacers that I will glue to the bottom of the wood so that the wood won't directly come in contact with the hull.
2. Purchase a sheet of Arurco Plywood 8 x 4 x 3/4 to use for the stringers and bulkheads. Once I am satisfied with the templates I will cut my stringers and bulkheads. First I will set them in PL Glue and then I will fiberglass them into the boat.
3. Purchase 2 sheets of MDO Plywood 8 x 4 x 1/2 and cut them for the deck area. I haven't decided yet if I am going to screw cleats to the stringers yet or not. But when I will screw the deck down and will be using Stainless Steel screws with 3M 5200 adhesive to make them as water tight as possible.
4. Build some wood mounting cleats for installation of the seat boxes (which I will be installing later). These will be glued directly to the deck. What my idea is here is to mount the seatbox to these cleats instead of having to drill into the deck.
5. I will lay a layer of 1.5oz Chopped string Mat over the top of the deck and glass it down.
6. Lay the layer of 6oz. woven over the top of the CSM and glass it down.
7. Gel coat the entire area of repair. I believe that I will just use white Gel Coat.
8. Mount the seatboxes and install the seats.
9. Work on the Tachometer and take it out for a test run.
